Adjectives and verbs conjugate similarly, except in masu tai
The Japanese customarily conjugate the adjective, not the verb. Example: omoshirokatta desu rather than omoshiroi deshita, and so forth
The desu / deshoo forms are actually conjugating desu, not the adjective.
