All over the world ordinary people ages 7 to 70+, regardless of physical ability, practice Aikido. Anyone can learn to do Aikido well with consistent support. Aikido Programs Sierra Aikido is a nonprofit California 501(c)3 Public Benefit Corporation dedicated to delivering Aikido as a community service on the San Francisco Peninsula: Applying a holistic approach to fitness and wellness, Sierra offers both special and regular Aikido training on the San Francisco Peninsula jointly with medical groups and professionals, educational organizations for underserved groups, other nonprofits and government agencies. Sierra Aikido is particularly interested in jointly growing self-directed Aikido programs with other, like-minded nonprofits in the education and wellness areas. < HTML    Wellness Mission     PDF> Sierra Aikido develops its wellness programs in consultation with medical professionals for each target medical area. Programs range from regular training to collaborations, workshops, courses with a specific focus, crosstraining and special events. Our "Train the Trainers" is one approach to develop and implement self-sustaining, self-directed Aikido programs at partner locations, with Sierra's ongoing support, jointly with partner organizations.
